Friday, Feb 5th (2 weeks from today), there is NO YOUTH. The youth leadership team is heading to a conference for training and team building!

Hi!

I pray that all you and your families are healthy and enjoying God's awesome favor!!

I would REALLY REALLY appreciate it if some of you were able to check out my blog (robpenny.blogspot.com) and give some feedback to a survey I have posted there. It is part of a school project that I am working on.

In other news, I have some more concrete outreach details for you:

Meet at the church at 5:30 (this Sunday).

We will pray and have a briefing, then drive into town (we're taking a 15 passenger van).

Once downtown, we'll purchase burgers, then split into groups.

At approximately 7:30 we will regroup and have a debriefing before heading home/back to the church.

PLEASE, if you have any blankets you can give away - send them with your students this Friday, OR drop them off at the church, OR bring them on Sunday.

OUTREACH DETAILS: Jan 24

Hey Parents!

Our next scheduled Outreach event is Sunday, January 24th. The current plan in the works (I am very excited about it) is:

A WARM BLANKET/CHEESEBURGER GIVEAWAY!

The plan currently being developed looks like the following:

- Over the next couple of weeks, we collect CLEAN blankets, in GOOD SHAPE (not an opportunity to get rid of our junk).

- Teams of guys/girls, with leaders, will hit the downtown streets around dinner time on the 24th.

- We will hand out blankets to shivering street people.

- As an added bonus, we'll also give out some McDonald's Cheeseburgers! YES!

- Perhaps even some dog treats for their dogs.

This is our current calendar, but it is subject to subtle changes or additions.

Keep in mind, our annual HistoryMaker Youth Conference is quickly approaching (May 21-23, in Langley). Keep an ear out for fundraising events and further details. In the meantime, encourage your teens to save their pennies!
